Miles Pfeffer is a 19-year-old man from Buckingham Township who has been charged with the murder of Christopher Fitzgerald, a Temple University Police Officer.
Pfeffer, 19, is accused of shooting Fitzgerald on 18 February 2023, when the officer was trying to halt a carjacking at 17th Street and Montgomery Avenue, outside Temple’s main campus.
The family of the fallen Temple University police officer is now demanding no mercy and the death penalty for Pfeffer.

Who Are Miles Pfeffer Parents?
Jill Petrushka and Marc Pfeffer are the parents of Miles Pfeffer. According to their Facebook profile, they hail from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Pfeffer family relocated to their current home on Boxley Farm, located along Quarry Road, four years prior.
On 19 February 2023, their house was stormed by a team of law enforcement officers who apprehended Miles, confiscated several weapons, and brought Jill in for questioning.
In a poignant gesture, the handcuffs of the fallen Officer Fitzgerald were used on Miles. Clark, a fellow officer, explained that it is a tradition they uphold whenever an officer falls.
“We felt it was significant to use his cuffs on the suspect,” the officer further clarified.
Several local residents have noted frequent police visits to the Pfeffer residence. Law enforcement officials have had several encounters with Miles over ‘nuisance crimes.”
A neighbor stated that even though the Pfeffer family live close by, they don’t really know them.
“Everyone here in the countryside mostly keeps to themselves. They have been noisy at times,” the person added.
Furthermore, Miles’ private Instagram account showcases images of cash and motorcycles.
One particular post shows a man, his face hidden behind a fan of $20 bills, with what seems to be a handgun protruding from his waistband.
The caption reads, “Work hard not hard; make stupid decisions and face stupid consequences.”
Miles Pfeffer Brother Witnessed Shooting
Reports suggest that Miles Pfeffer’s brother, whose name is unknown, was present during the tragic incident involving Officer Fitzgerald.
This information comes from Steve Keeley, a journalist who shared the details on social media.
Keeley’s post revealed that when Officer Fitzgerald attempted to apprehend the Pfeffer brothers, Miles’ brother was present.
The murder suspect’s sibling was among the witnesses who observed and heard the events unfold, as per law enforcement sources.
Keeley further revealed that Miles’ brother hid in an alleyway, observed the officer chasing Miles Pfeffer, and subsequently heard gunshots.
Furthermore, Keeley disclosed that after escaping the scene in a hijacked vehicle, Miles was reportedly picked up by his mother, Jill, at 29th Street & Ridge Avenue and taken home.
The legal implications for Miles’ brother, given his proximity to the event, remain uncertain.
Miles Pfeffer was present in a Philadelphia court on Tuesday for an initial hearing, which he chose not to attend.
The case is set to progress through the legal system, and the family of Officer Fitzgerald has vowed to attend every hearing.
“We are committed to ensuring that justice is done,” stated Joel Fitzgerald Sr., the father of the deceased officer, outside the courthouse.
He added that being there is part of their fight to guarantee that the appropriate punishment is meted out to this individual.
Also, Joel Fitzgerald Sr. believes that the fitting punishment in this case is the death penalty. He expressed hope that justice will be delivered promptly.
