Sadly, Rukayat passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the age of 37 after a brief illness.

Alhaji is the former managing director and CEO of Staco Insurance. During the event organized by Okiki Films, he promised that the annual event would get bigger next year and at least 250 widows would benefit from it.
He also said a youth empowerment scheme would be introduced to engage the young and talented ones fully.
In 2018, the board of Staco Insurance Plc announced Oyefesso’s dismissal from the CEO post, accusing him of fraud.
According to a statement by Jackson, Etti & Edu, the company secretary, the directors said explicitly that the decision to fire Oyefesso, also on the grounds of financial misappropriation, was taken on July 30, 2018.
Oyefeso, the holder of an MBA from the Lagos State Univeristy, was the longest-serving CEO of the industry, having been appointed in August 1994.

Rukayat’s family includes her father, Alhaji Razak Gawatm, a respected Islamic personality and TV presenter in Nigeria. Sadly, Alhaji miraculously went missing in 2012.
On the morning of July 6, 2012, he left his house to search for his daily bread, decked out in a white Agbada with his signature cap.
Since then, family and associates have searched for him, hoping he will be found someday. In 2017, Rukayat organized a befitting prayer for her missing father.
