Is Nicolle Wallace Leaving MSNBC?
No. The prominent television anchor and host Nicolle Wallace isn’t leaving MSNBC. She is just taking some time off from her job due to a joyous reason.
Nicolle Wallace, the popular MSNBC anchor, hasn’t been seen on her regular show, Deadline: White House, since just before Thanksgiving.
On 29 November 2023, Alicia Menendez, Nicolle’s colleague at MSNBC, addressed the viewers’ worries about Nicolle’s absence from the show.
Nicolle was called into the show to share some thrilling news! Despite the numerous speculations about her absence, the real reason is quite joyous.
The news anchor, who is 51 years old, and her husband Michael Schmidt, whom she married in 2022, have welcomed a baby girl, Isabella Sloane Schmidt.
It appears Isabella was either born via a surrogate or adopted. Nicolle shared that she, Michael, and her 11-year-old son Liam, from her previous marriage to Mark Wallace, are all in love with the new family member.
Despite being tired, the MSNBC anchor finds joy in being a new mom again and says it’s a blessing to be focused on what’s always grounded her – her family.
When Will Nicolle Wallace Will Return?
As for when Nicolle will return to MSNBC and her show, Deadline: White House, she told Alicia that viewers will have to wait a bit longer to see her back on air.
Alicia asked Nicolle, who reassured her stand-in that she was doing an excellent job, to confirm to viewers that she would indeed be coming back to Deadline: White House.
“I’m so upset that anyone was upset!” The Deadline host expressed that fans speculating about her whereabouts.
The journalist warmly stated that she considers the viewers as her family and as long as they’ll accept she would never, ever, ever leave.
Upon learning the reason for Nicolle’s absence on MSNBC, viewers were quick to alleviate the anchor’s concerns about taking personal time off from work.
“Congrats and please don’t feel like you were hiding anything from your viewers. This was/is a private family matter but I’m delighted you shared your happy news,” one fan tweeted.
In the meantime, the mother of two has not yet revealed exactly when she plans to return to her duties at MSNBC.
According to The U.S. Sun, another respected journalist, Ali Velshi, will be stepping in for Nicolle while she enjoys some much-needed personal and family time.
Ali mentioned that “as part of his new news Uncle-y duties” he would be assisting on the program while his “friend” is “taking care of” her new daughter.
