Camille added several accolades to her Wikipedia page but degraded other players’ accomplishments.
These modifications have been linked to her email and her husband’s IP address, which led to significant backlash within the ultrarunning community.
Her controversial edits include removing accolades from Courtney Dauwalter’s page, such as her wins at Hardrock 100, UTMB, and Western States 100.
She removed the statement “widely regarded as one of the best trail runners ever” from other athletes and added a similar statement to her page.
Moreover, Camille and Conor’s “Temporun73” Wikipedia account was temporarily banned for violating Wikipedia’s conflict of interest policies. They have operated “Rundbowie” since February 2024.
She has made over 300 contributions to the Wikipedia pages since 2017 and altered the Ultramarathon Wikipedia page in June 2024 and September 2024.
